HOW IT STARTED
From One Truck to a Fleet
In 2003, our founder bought a used, white lift truck and started answering calls from a garage in Northeast DC. The idea was simple: arrive as fast as humanly possible, give a real price, and treat every car like it was your own mother’s.
What started as one truck became three. Three became six. Today, District Towing operates 20+ vehicles across the entire DC metro area, from heavy duty wreckers to flatbed carriers and specialized motorcycle trailers.
What has not changed is the culture. Every operator goes through the same training: damage-free techniques, customer communication, safety protocols, and insurance coordination. We hire people who genuinely care about helping stranded drivers โ because that same empathy is what separates a good tow company from a great one.
